Millennial Media brings parity to its Android and iPhone advertising SDKs

Platform-agnostic position driving growth

Millennial Media brings parity to its Android and iPhone advertising SDKs
There's plenty going on in the mobile advertising world at the moment, what with AdMob releasing its iPad SDK and is showing off its HTML5 demo, plus everyone awaiting more details about Apple's iAd platform.

A good time then for Millennial Media, which labels itself the largest independent mobile advertising platform, to release new SDKs for iPhone and Android.

Numbered Android SDK 3.5 and iPhone SDK 3.5.5, they mark the third SDK release on each operating system in less than six months, and bring parity between the two OSs.

This means Android developers can now use static and video interstitials, expanding banners, transparent overlay and companion ads within their games and apps.

Climbing in step

Focusing both on app developers and agencies and advertiser-side developers, Millennial says its developer community is growing fast - 138 percent since January 2010 - thanks to its platform-agnostic position.

The updated Android and Apple SDKs are live and available for download, via Millennial Media's developer portal, mmDev.
