Germany, France, China and Spain are biggest territories

Int13's AR Defender does 50,025 downloads on bada in 13 days
We haven't had any decent figures concerning game sales or downloads from the Samsung Apps store yet.

In that context, French developer Int13's breakdown which details the downloads of its free augmented reality game for bada devices AR Defender marks a first step in trying to understand national differences.

A new reality

Since its release on July 31, AR Defender has been downloaded 50,025 times, with Germany (18 percent), France (15 percent) and China (9 percent) the biggest national markets.

The biggest single category is GLB, which Int13 suggests counts for Global, although there is also a Rest of the World category.

Of course, as AR Defender is only available for the only bada phone - the Samsung Wave - so this is another limitation in terms of how well it's doing in various territories.

For example, downloads in North and Latin America have been "almost non-existent," presumably due to a lack of handset sales.

Still, despite the expected dominance of the larger Western European countries, it's interesting to see countries such as Russia, Turkey and China ranking relatively highly in the list.

Whether this would be the case in terms of paid content remains to be seen.
