With Microsoft's launch schedule for Windows Phone 7 gaining pace, so more interesting titbits about how the platform and ecosystem will operate are coming to light.
One such is how Microsoft will highlight games that support the features included in Xbox LIVE over those that don't in the on-device games hub.
Listing priority
It's all detailed in a posting on the blog of Michael Klucher, who's the program manager for the XNA community game platform.
"Games that do not use Xbox LIVE will be listed right below the Xbox LIVE enabled titles in your collection," he states.
"All games can be pinned to the start menu just like any other content in Windows Phone 7."
As can also been seen, games that use Xbox LIVE will feature a top banner proclaiming that status across their icon.
Of course, this makes sense in terms of Microsoft wanting developers and gamers to focus on content that makes the best use of Windows Phone 7's features, but conversely will disadvantage developers porting or releasing cross platform games.
