We haven't heard much from universal game platform provider Antix since it launched its cross mobile, set top box, web, TV technology back in April 2010.
The combination of a distribution hub, called Game Warehouse, with its client Antix Game Player allows developers to create one game that will work across all supported devices.
Over the TV
It's just signed up with Taiwanese chip company MStar Semiconductor, which will allow the Antix client to run across MStar's platform of internet connected TVs.
"The Antix Game Player is a complete product and gives all our TV customers a simple way to meet the demands of an increasingly expectant market by offering the user best in class, casual and premium gaming services with downloadable native content," said Trevor Neal, MStar's vice president.
"MStar's success in supplying TV solutions has been remarkable. Antix's products and its associated publishing community enable MStar to strengthen its comprehensive solutions in TV and also across the many other screens in which MStar is active and taking increasing market share," said Francis Charig, Antix's CEO.
