Building on its CEO's predictions of the commercial opportunity - "The Ovi Store will become the second app store that will generate significant revenue for us," he told us - German developer Fishlabs has announced its first wave of games for Nokia's N8 smartphone.
Space shooter Galaxy on Fire and the racer Rally Master Pro have been optimised for the hardware and its Symbian^3 opening system, with Fishlabs saying both will work at a smooth 40 frames per second.
Mobile games on the TV
"Thanks to its high performance graphics processor and high resolution display, the Nokia N8 offers an impressive gaming experience, particularly for graphics intensive hardcore games like Galaxy on Fire and Rally Master Pro," said CEO Michael Schade.
He also pointed out that, "Via the HDMI output, the Nokia N8 becomes video console and controller in one and offers great gaming fun in HD, even on TV."
Further encouraging users to get their hands on the games via the Ovi Store, Galaxy on Fire is now available for free, while Rally Master Pro will soon be available for download in over 10 languages priced 6.99.
