Having tweaked its subscription models, and launched a new version of its game making software, GameSalad has now announced a new publishing initiative.
Called GameSalad Accelerator, it's designed to hook up development talent from its community with industry professionals and brands.
Fast forward
The first fruit of the program is Stan Lee's The Traveler in Split Second Mayhem.
Produced as a collaborative effort by Boom! Studios, GameSalad and POW! Entertainment, and developed by D7 Studios, it's been published to the App Store through GameSalad Accelerator.
"GameSalad Accelerator is about bringing together indie talent and established market presence," said GameSalad CEO Steve Felter.
"We've lined up an exciting team of partners for the launch of this one-of-a-kind program."
"Stan Lee is the gold standard in the comics world, and Boom! Studios has been on the forefront of bringing comics into the digital arena. We couldn't be more thrilled with this partnership."
New horizons
As well as such partnerships, GameSalad Accelerator is also open in terms of indie GameSalad developers submitting their own original titles with a view to being published.
Developers interested in applying for the Accelerator program should check out the GameSalad Accelerator homepage.
