New digital publisher Tradewest sets up virtual shop
Another publisher has stepped into the digital distribution fray.

Tradewest Digital, the newly established arm of the German headquartered Tradewest Games Holding has set itself up to target to PCs, consoles, social platforms and especially mobile, including iOS, Windows Phone 7, Android and Blackberry.

Its first release is type-fighting game TxT Fighter. Developed by 5 Elements Entertainment, it's due out for iPhone and iPod touch in December.

Rise of the mobile

"The launch of Tradewest Digital has been a very exciting project for me personally", says Martin Spiess, Tradewest Digital's CEO.

"The rise of sophisticated mobile gaming devices creates a lot of great opportunities. Since Tradewest Digital is set up as a classic B2C business, our titles will greatly benefit from the direct access and dialog with our consumers.

"Our goal is to create a well-balanced portfolio to cater to the taste of this very large audience and deliver to them simply great entertainment."
