Scoreloop is adding three million new users per month

Driven by strong Android growth

Scoreloop is adding three million new users per month
Underlining the growth surge of gaming on Android, social network Scoreloop has announced it's adding three million new users per month, and handling over 18 million score submissions a week across its mobile social gaming network.

Four of the top 10 most active games within its community are cross platform (iOS and Android), and so the company is putting together a program of tips and guides to ease the transition of developers for Apple devices who are shifting to Android.

"Over the past weeks we've seen a number of high quality games coming to Android," said Marc Gumpinger, Scoreloop's CEO.

"Many of the titles are cross platform and are bringing substantial growth to our community. We're excited to be working with these developers and are committed to helping them receive the visibility and recognition they deserve."

Shouting Scoreloop

Two of the popular iOS games making the transition to Android with Scoreloop are Toobz from Off Center Software, and Frenzic from the Iconfactory.

"Android has suddenly become an interesting platform for game developers," said Jason Haslup of Off Center Software. "With over 10 million downloads, Toobz is one of the most successful games on the Apple App Store and I'm hoping to reproduce that on Android. I'm now working closely with Scoreloop to make that happen."

"We're thrilled to bring Frenzic to Android from iOS and with Scoreloop we've been able to support similar connected features" said Ged Maheux, co-founder of the Iconfactory. "It's been ideal for our needs and the studio we worked with found it simple to integrate."
