Billed as a celebration, Samsung Apps has begun discounting some of its top titles just as the marketplace passes 50 million downloads for the year.
The 35 select games will see between 17 percent and 75 percent slashed off their prices in 33 different countries UK, Germany, Italy and France, amongst others, all on board.
Running until December 28, Samsung has managed to rope in big franchises for the promo, with the likes of EA's Monopoly and Tetris Refresh joined by Gameloft's Assassin's Creed, Hero of Sparta, Modern Combat, Real Football 2010 and Gangstar.
Discount or die
"2010 was a year of tremendous growth for Samsung Apps, so it would only be fitting we thank our loyal customers by offering a handful of our best apps at a reduced price," said senior VP of Samsung's media solution center, Kanghyun Kwon.
"We want to carry our momentum from this year into 2011, and our holiday discount promotion is an excellent way to do it."
Samsung claims the launch of the Wave in June gave the marketplace a fairly hefty boost, with Samsung Apps now available in 118 countries in all.
This won't be the last promotion the firm uses to push the platform, either, with Samsung confirming similar initiatives will follow throughout 2011.
