Exit Games integrates Photon networking engine with Marmalade SDK
Following its rebranding, mobile cross platform framework Marmalade is building up its partnerships.

Earlier this week, it integrated with ad platform inneractive; now it's announced a deal with networking technology company Exit Games.

Exit's Photon network engine and socket server is now fully integrated, enabling the development of real time multiplayer applications. Photon provides features such as a C/C++-based core, server extensibility in .NET/C# plus reliable UDP.

"We're very excited Exit Games' Photon is now fully integrated within Marmalade," said Tim Closs, Marmalade's CTO.

"Photon provides stunning performance whilst being easy-to-use which makes it a perfect fit with Marmalade. It's an ideal combination for the development of multi-user online applications."

Happiness reigns

Christof Wegmann, CTO and founder of Exit Games, continued: "Marmalade is not only a company with a great track record but also a fantastic product.

"Now it is possible for any developer to easily create and deploy real time multiplayer applications on a multitude of the most important mobile gaming platforms by using Marmalade and Photon."

Various flavours of Photon (free, indie) can be downloaded here.
