There's plenty going on in the Chinese mobile gaming market, which makes it a great time to take a trip to Beijing.
You'll have to be quick if you want to catch the third China iOS Mobile Internet Developer Conference though.
Organised by Cocoa China, a mobile studio that runs the defacto community portal for Chinese iOS game development, and sponsored by Google, it's kicking off on Saturday 27 August at the China National Convention Center.
Around 1,000 participants are expected, and the conference will have a focus on gaming, as well as promotion for international markets, and funding and investment.
Talking shop
Alongside luminaries of the industry such as Haypi, KongZhong, Epicforce, AdMob and SNSGame - who we recently interviewed - Pocket Gamer's own Chris James will be handing out some nuggets on wisdom about game promotion and marketing.
And, he'll be around in China for a couple of days following the conference as well, so if you're in the vicinity and want to meet up, feel free to email him - chris [at] pocketgamer [dot] co [dot] uk
