Blasting over Ovi Store

10tons' Sparkle wins $250,000 and $1.9 million of marketing support as the gaming grand prize winner of Nokia's Calling All Innovators
Although the initial winners of Nokia's $10 million Calling All Innovators challenge have already been announced, the company has given out more bonuses in the shape of its grand prize winners.

Adding a further $100,000 and Ovi Store marketing said to be worth $1.9 million to the $150,000 already gained by being a category winner, Finnish developer 10tons won the overall game category with Sparkle, while BLStream won the overall application category with ShutterPro Premium.

Let it shine

In total, over 800 entries were received from developers in 57 countries with US-based developers submitting the most entries. The majority of apps submitted were created using Qt, Nokia's cross-platform development platform.

"We were surprised and feel greatly honoured as we know many great games were submitted," said 10tons' Sampo Toyssy.

"Sparkle is one of our most successful products in Nokia's Ovi Store and the extra marketing promotion Nokia will do on our behalf is a tremendous boost for us."
