Filling the gap between a university game course and actual industrial experience, Birmingham City University's New Technology Institute has announced a new date for its full-time four week Gamer Camp: Nano course.
In addition to the summer course, running 2 July to 3 August 2012, there will now be an early spring session running from 6 February to 2 March.
The shortest of the three Gamer Camp courses, Nano enables attendees to work in a team, developing and publishing a mobile game.
In the most recent event, two iPhone games were released - Aliens versus Humans and They Came From The Deep.
Get up to speed
Run by the University and led by ex-Codemasters and Sega studio manager Guy Wilday, the structure is one week of intensive tuition, followed by three weeks of development.

As well as Nano, NTI Birmingham offers two other courses: the 10 week Mini, which enables you to pick and choose which modules you want to do, and the one year Pro, which leads to a formal MA/MSc qualification.
You can find out more details about Nano, and the other courses offered at the Gamer Camp website.
There will also be an open day for prospective students on 19 November.
