Mirroring the Smartphone & Tablet Games Summit track of the main GDC conference, the first sessions at GDC Online have been announced.

The event will run between October 10-11 as part of the Austin-based conference. Of course, Pocket Gamer will be there too.

Continuing from his excellent talk earlier in the year, Zynga With Friends' Vijay Thakkar will be talking about the work behind the With Friends series, revealing the trials and tribulations of multi-platform, cross-team development.

Fast-talking nuggets

Success in Asia will be covered by various companies - such as ngmoco, PapayaMobile, and Gamevil - in a series called International Micro-Talks: Developing and Distributing Games for Japan, China and Korea.

US developer Limbic Software will also be digging into its recent games with a post-mortem entitled Squirrels and Gunships Climbing the App Store: A Double Postmortem of Nuts! and Zombie Gunship.
