Global reach across eight app stores

Distimo adds benchmarking analysis tools to its free app store Monitor service
If information is power, in the mobile ecosystem, app store analytics could be the difference between success and failure.

The uncertainty in the statement is that it's all too easy to get confused by the raw numbers, which is why analytics outfit Distimo is rolling out additional tool into its free Monitor service.

These show you your daily, downloads, revenue, rankings and reviews (translated into English), globally across eight app stores, without requiring the addition of any code to your apps.

App stores supported are Apple App Store, Mac App Store, Android Market, BlackBerry App World, Nokia Ovi Store, Windows Phone Marketplace, Amazon Appstore and GetJar.

Cutting through the confusion

What's more important, however, is you can easily benchmark your apps' performance - whether in terms of downloads or price point - against overall market trends. The information is presented in simple graphs.

Distimo points out, this makes it straightforward to see growth opportunities in terms of countries or by tweaking price.

"The app store marketplace is a widely fragmented market filled with equally fragmented information and statistics," said Distimo CEO, Vincent Hoogsteder.

"Distimo Monitor solves this challenge by providing free benchmark reporting and dashboard tools that remove all of the manual work required with distributing an app in multiple app stores, and helps developers maximise opportunities for monetisation and growth."
