Part of a wider intention to move into the games sector, Swiss-based capital investment firm Digital Capital has announced it has set aside funds to back mobile developers.
The firm is yet to announce any partnerships, but Digital Capital claims it is looking to offer studios a "fairer deal" by offering developers the means to work on their games while also presenting investors with exciting opportunities.
An eye on ideas
"With the growth of digital distribution there are so many opportunities for investors," said co-founder Todd Tribelll.
"Our view on game developers is not dissimilar to musicians or actors. They are the creative force and as such, we want to work closely with them to maximise their financial participation in order to properly reward them for their ideas."
The company claims funding will be made available for a "wide variety of projects" across the digital entertainment and games sector, with the first partners set to be announced in the near future.
More details can be found on the firm's website.
