Swedish mobile publisher G5 Entertainment (G5EN:SS) has revealed the extent of its success on Amazon's Kindle Fire.
The device, which launched in November 2011 is only available in North America, but G5 has already accumulated 1 million game downloads.
According to analysts, the device has sold between 4 to 6 million units, which means this is around 20 percent penetration rate; of course assuming one download per device.
Count 'em
More broadly, G5 also announced it's seen its download rate rise five-fold during 2011, now boasting more than 40 million game downloads across iOS and Android, particularly the latter.
Its share price has risen rapidly over the past 18 months, doubling since October 2011.
Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with offices in San Francisco (US), Moscow (Russia), and Kharkov (Ukraine), G5 is a specialist developer and publisher of casual, hidden object and management games such as Virtual City Playground, Stand O'Food and Special Enquiry Detail.
It works with over 30 studios to bring their games to mobile platforms, releasing a new mobile game every week.
The company was also ranked #33 in our top 50 developer 2012 list.
