Amazon Appstore director Aaron Rubenson bound for Open Mobile Summit 2012
Having lifted the lid on in-app purchases for its Appstore for Android a mid-way through April, Amazon has revealed it's set to make a headline appearance at the Open Mobile Summit 2012 in London.

Store director Aaron Rubenson will take to the stage at the two day event - which will kick off on 29 May at the Victoria Park Plaza hotel - just days before Amazon's Android-powered Kindle Fire makes its UK debut at the end of the month.

All of a flurry

"This news comes hot on the heels of data released by Flurry recently that Amazon’s Appstore for Android generates more revenue per daily user than Google’s own Android market (now Google Play)," said Robin Batt, executive producer of organiser Open Mobile Media

"So who better than Amazon's app store lead to share the latest on app monetisation at the Open Mobile Summit this summer?"

Flurry CEO Simon Khalaf has also been confirmed for the event, which is now in its fourth year, alongside CEOs from Smule, Urban Airship, BottleRocket and Bionic Panda.

As a whole, the conference will look to discuss the future of the apps market, including best practice strategies for monetisation and distribution.
