Though not specifically tied to its recently launched mobile venture, Aeria Games has announced it has received new funding from Sony subsidiary So-net Entertainment.
The investment details of which have not been disclosed comes little over a month after the online free-to-play specialist unveiled its new mobile division based in Santa Clara, Aeria Mobile.

"We welcome So-net Entertainment Corporation as a strategic partner as we move forward to expand our relationships with global digital entertainment companies," said Aerua Games CEO Lan Hoang.
"Our track record and accelerated growth has enabled us to align with companies that will complement our portfolio, so we look forward to working with So-net and its partners to bring more highly sought-after content to our more than 40 million dedicated users."
So-net already has a hand in the mobile market the company is single largest shareholder in Japanese social gaming giant DeNA.
The news comes after Aeria signed a strategic deal with Japanese social outfit Pokelabo to bring its Monster Paradise card game to western markets.
