Frontier Developments has teamed up with Starbucks and Apple to make its gusty adventure LostWinds a free download at coffee houses in the US, Canada, and the UK.
Gamers popping by their local Starbucks will be able to get a Pick of the Week card, which includes a free download code to be redeemed from iTunes.
A perfect storm
The promotion will see interest in LostWinds accelerate as UK-based developer Frontier Developments prepares to release its sequel LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias on iOS.
LostWinds, previously a launch title for Nintendo's underperforming WiiWare service, is otherwise available on the App Store for $3.99 / £2.49.
