Monetisation firm Flexion has announced it will be integrating SponsorPay into a new Android offer wall.
The agreement between the companies means developers will be able to give users the option to build up virtual currency within Flexion's wrapper by performing incentivised actions.
All wrapped up
The introduction of SponsorPay will enable app install, engagement campaigns, video ads, and mobile cost-per-action offers.
Users will get free credits, and can earn more by taking part in these advertising offers.
These credits can then be used to extend the period of time using Flexion's try-before-you-buy sessions.
Flexion also says it plans to make these credits a universal currency to be spent on any Flexion-wrapped product.
For developers, the advantage is that the model can be implemented into Android apps and games on Google Play and other Android stores, without the need for additional build and testing time.
Flexible friend?
The decision to integrate SponsorPay into its model is part of Flexion's strategy to increase direct monetisation models for Android developers.
"Many Android developers have had bad experiences with the Android market and are disappointed with the revenue opportunities available. But it is possible to make money from Android, and we want to help developers do just that," said Flexion CEO Jens Lauritzson.
"By integrating SponsorPay into our wrapper, we make sure that developers get one of the best advertising solutions in the market and provide them with an additional revenue stream."
Flexion, whose customers include EA, Orange, Sony Mobile, and Digital Chocolate, sees conversion rates from free trial to full purchase of around 10 percent for its Android wrapper.
Flexion already offers operator billing in more than 70 markets and this new solution is a combined offering whereby users can pay with cash or via credits.
