Confirming mounting speculation, game streaming platform OnLive has announced it is getting behind the Android-based Ouya console.
In a statement released to the press, OnLive said it shares Ouya's vision to make "top quality gaming accessible to more people", committing to the console at launch.
Perfect partners
"Ouya is rethinking the console business, making waves by using standard technology to make gaming for your living room accessible, affordable and more innovative than ever," said OnLive in its statement.
"In OnLive's case, we pioneered a groundbreaking, cloud-based system that instantly delivers games to any device on demand.
"We are pleased to announce that OnLive will be available on Ouya at launch, extending and building on our commitment to make the best games available to everyone, everywhere."
OnLive claims it will bring "top tier" on demand games to Ouya from more than 80 publishers, with instant demos for every single title also on offer.
Ouya players will, naturally, also be able to take on rivals playing via tablets, smartphones, PC and Mac, as well as those using connected televisions and OnLive's own game system.
