After launching dedicated studios in San Francisco and Vancouver, GREE has now unveiled plans to do the same in Europe, with the Japanese social gaming giant choosing London as its base.
The new outfit is bound for Tech City in East London, with its launch coinciding with a relocation of GREE UK's main office to the same site.
Western wave
Just as GREE's North American studios have focused on said regions, the new London hub's target will be producing content that appeals to European gamers, GREE has confirmed, with the firm also looking to take on new talent.
"The formation of a UK studio is strategically significant on many levels," said senior VP president of the EML business department, Ryotaro Shima.
"Primarily it will allow us to focus on western content, keyed to local social trends, as well as tailoring content for global propositions. It also reinforces GREEs commitment to growth within European markets."
More info on the positions available can be found on GREE's website.
