Nokia and Mozilla on board for Mobile World Congress 2013

Keynote speakers revealed

Nokia and Mozilla on board for Mobile World Congress 2013
Organisers behind Mobile World Congress have unveiled a batch of keynote speakers set to address attendees when the event returns to Barcelona in February.

Included in the line up is Deutsche Telekom CEO René Obermann, Telecom Italia Group CEO Franco Bernabè and Susan Whiting, the vice chair of marketing research company Nielsen.

Show stoppers

The headline act, however, may well be Nokia CEO Stephen Elop, who will take to the stage most likely to cast more light on the Finnish firm's Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 plans.

Mozilla's chief executive Gary Kovacs has also been confirmed as a keynote speaker for the event.

Considering the first mobile devices running the firm's forthcoming Firefox OS are expected in early 2013, it seems safe to assume he'll have a lot to talk about.

Eager beavers

Registration for the event will open later in 2012. To be notified when registration is open, visit the Mobile World Congress 2013 website, and sign up for email updates.

The Mobile World Congress will run from 25–28 February, 2013.

Organisers are expecting to welcome more than 70,000 attendees to the conference's new venue, the Fira Gran Via in Barcelona.
