Gameloft has launched a dedicated iOS app for Gameloft Live, its social gaming network that lets players chat with friends, earn gamer score and play multiplayer matches across its range of supported titles.
As well as injecting some social glue into its catalogue, the French publisher is using the application to overtly cross-promote its games, presenting users with news and exclusive discounts on Gameloft games.

Gameloft Live uses a 3D interface based on player-created avatars and environments, both of which can be further customised by users.
Naturally, additional customisation options can be acquired by spending Gameloft virtual currency, which is available to buy in-app.
The currency is also used to purchase Gameloft games, which are available from an in-app store that highlights featured titles as well as the games that are being played by the user's network of friends.
An Android app for the service launched back in February 2012, and has since been installed by between 100,000 and 500,000 users.
