Reacting to the furore surrounding the unveiling of clause 2.25 in Apple's App Review Guidelines, Joe Bayen CEO of ICS Mobile, the company behind FreeAppADay.com has released a statement claiming all is well with the discovery tool.
According to Bayen, Apple's efforts to maintain the overall quality of its marketplace should be supported by those operating within it.
App happy
"Since pioneering the 'free app promotion' business three years ago we continue to have a great relationship with Apple," stated Bayen via email.
"It all started with our daily FreeAppADay.com offering and expanded to our regular App Of the week offering.
"FreeAppADay.com simply highlights the best apps the app store has to offer which contributes to enhance the user experience within the App Store."
Bayen claims any apps highlighted that have poor ratings or poor quality "simply won't get any traction because the very savvy iPhone audience is the ultimate referee."
He concluded, "We backed Apple 100 percent in its effort to eliminate bot farms and we fully support Apple's effort to provide a fair market place by showcasing the very best apps the App Store has to offer."
