As part of an interview with the New York Times, Finnish developer Supercell has revealed that iOS titles Clash of Clans and Hay Day are currently generating a total of more than $500,000 per day for the studio.
That means that, once Apple has taken its 30 percent cut, Supercell takes home $350,000 in revenue from the two titles every 24 hours.
For comparison's sake
Over the course of a 30-day month, that equates to $10.5 million a sum that places Supercell in esteemed company.
DeNA's Rage of Bahamut, for instance, was estimated to be making $2.6 million a month in sales back in June 2012.
NaturalMotion's CSR Racing, meanwhile, made headlines in August when it was revealed that the game had generated more than $12 million in one month.
Though stretched across two titles rather than one, such numbers are extremely impressive nonetheless - although, perhaps, not altogether surprising.
Clash of Clans in particular has been dominating the iOS top grossing games charts of late as we discovered in a recent edition of the PocketGamer.biz Charticle performing strongly on both the iPhone and iPad despite Supercell's 'tablet first' strategy.
