Hampered by server issues since release, Peter Molyneux has revealed the team at 22Cans has put in a non-stop near two day shift in order to keep Curiosity what's inside the cube going.
Molyneux took to Twitter earlier today to reveal the developer had concluded "another 36 hour marathon" that resulted in "hugely improved servers" designed to make the game "behave like it should."
Captain crunch
"Thanks for everyone's patience on Curiosity," he added. "We have one more day getting stuff right then start on new features."
The release charges players with tapping away at a massive cube en masse in order to reveal layer after layer. The users
who gets to the centre will reveal what Molyneux has claimed will be a 'life changing' reward.
Nonetheless, many developers have already tweeted their criticism, suggesting Molyneux is glamourising crunch time in games development by broadcasting his team's 'achievement'.
In reply to one tweet, Molyneux noted wasn't "proud" of the 36 hour stint, but rather wanted people to see the "dedication" of 22Cans' 5-person team.
Money matters
The news comes just a day after the studio began accepting donations from Curiosity fans.
The studio claims the money will help order make the release "the best possible experience it can be".
It's believed one of the new features hinted at by Molyneux could be the deployment of in-app purchases, formally monetising the title for the first time since release.
