It's a case of steadying the ship at Zynga, which has seen four changes to its executive team.
The obvious headline is the departure of CFO David Wehner, who's joining Facebook, albeit on what Zynga CEO Mark Pincus calls good terms.
"Dave remains a good friend to us all and we wish him success in his next role," Pincus commented.
Chief accounting officer Mark Vranesh will fill the CFO role.
New responsibilities
More interesting in terms of Zynga's longterm success, however, are the changes to its operations.
Barry Cottle, previously EVP, business and corporate development, becomes chief revenue officer, while Steven Chiang, previously EVP of games, has been appointed president of games. Both men previously worked at EA.
David Ko, previously Zynga's chief mobile officer who grew its portfolio by 25 games and helped unite game development teams across mobile and web, becomes chief operations officer, highlighting the importance of mobile to Zynga's future.
Ko will oversee the company's strategy planning, infrastructure and operations, while Cottle handles business development, strategic partnerships, advertising sales and real money gambling. Chiang will oversee all games and new IP development on web and mobile.
"Mark, David, Barry and Steve are rooted in our culture, committed to our future and part of the talented bench of leadership at Zynga," said Pincus.
"I'm confident we have the right team to deliver on our mission of connecting the world through games and position us for long-term growth."
