Gameloft (EPA:GFT) has announced its 2012 financials for the 12 months ending 31 December.
Consolidated sales were up 27 percent year-on-year to 208.3 million (around $275 million).
This compares to a target of $260 million, announced in September.
Interestingly, Gameloft saw most growth during its Q2 and Q3 periods, with year-on-year sales during those periods up 35 and 37 percent representively.
Perhaps due to the company's strong end of year performance in 2011, Q4 2012 sales were up slightly less - 23 percent - to 57.7 (around $76.5 million).
Steady as she goes
Of course, smartphone and tablets are the fastest growing category.
It pointed to the success of Q4 titles such as Modern Combat 4, World at Arms and My Little Pony, as well as back catalogue games such as Ice Age Village, Order & Chaos Online and Asphalt 7.
The category now makes up 56 percent of sales, with Gameloft's strength selling Java games into emerging markets continuing to generate strong sales.
In terms of geographical breakdown, North America represented 31 percent of 2012 revenues; EMEA, 27 percent; APAC, 22 percent; and LATAM, 20 percent.
In keeping with French accounting practice, Gameloft won't reveal its profit figures until mid-March.
In 2011, its net profit was 18.2 million (around $23.5 million), up 34 percent compared with 2010.
