Following her Nordic Game 2013 talk, I caught up with Julie Uhrman.
The Ouya CEO was in enthusiastic mood, having just come back from a trip to the company's Chinese manufacturers, confident in their ability to deliver for the planned 25 June US retail launch.
Also helping to grease those wheels was the news earlier in May that the Kickstarter-funded company had closed a $15 million funding round.
No inferiority complex
"You're not going to buy Ouya because it's small and beautiful," Uhrman says.
"You'll buy it because there's a great game, or a lot of great games, on it that you want to play."
Nor is she worried about competition from PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
"It's not either or," is her argument.
Instead, gamers want to play on a TV and developers want to make innovative games for the TV.
That's the win-win for Ouya, which will innovate quickest thanks to its use of Android, both as an OS and distribution ecosystem.
