Green Throttle Games has unveiled an affiliate program for developers who are looking to sell the firm's Atlas controller through their apps.
The first 100 developers who join the program will receive a 20 percent commission paid out for each controller sold.
Those who join later won't be turned away, however. Green Throttle also announced that subsequent developers who join the Affiliate Program will see a 10 percent commission paid per controller sold.
The unconsole-est unconsole
Unlike most Android unconsoles vying for a spot in the living room - namely, the Ouya or GamePop - Green Throttle doesn't require a separate console to bring mobile games to a larger TV screen.
Banking on the success of a "virtual console" approach, Green Throttle instead requires customers to buy $40 controller and not commit to a physical console.
This is why the controller, and the affiliate program, are so important to Green Throttle and its developers.
Speaking on the Affiliate Program, CEO and co-founder of Green Throttle Charles Huang labeled it "an alternative to advertising and in-app purchases" and says that he hopes "this program will generate healthy returns for our development partners".
