Sony has reacted to suggestion that PS Vita TV won't be launched outside of Asia by clarifying it has no announcements to make on a global release "at this point", but that doesn't mean the situation won't change.
Yesterday saw Asian site Tech On publish an interview with Sony Computer Entertainment president Andrew House that appeared to suggest PS Vita TV was something of an Asian exclusive.
As such, we contacted Sony for clarification, and have since been informed that the lack of an announcement regarding a release in Europe doesn't mean one won't be forthcoming in the future.

Almost simultaneously, Sony's president of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida took to Twitter to offer further insight.
"For people wondering about PS Vita TV outside Japan, we are just saying now 'PS Vita TV releasing first in Japan'," detailed Yoshida, signing off with "Stay tuned."
Launching in Japan on 22 November, a global debut for Sony's microconsole would appear to be a logical move, with a sweep of western developer opinion carried out by PocketGamer.biz suggesting the device has been met with a warm reception by existing Vita studios.
