Swedish/Russian company G5 Entertainment (STO:G5EN) has announced it's generated $100 million from its mobile hidden object games.
Once huge on PC and mobile, the genre has recently suffered from content saturation, but G5's news shows there remains a solid fanbase for these games.
In terms of G5's total, franchises The Secret Society, Hidden City and Mahjong Journey made up to 90% of the revenue.
Players in the US and Canada accounted for 65% of the total.
Older, richer
Unsurprisingly, G5 says its audience is mainly female - up to 90% in some titles - and also skews older.
G5 revealed the engine room of paying players is women 55 years old and over.
The average revenue generated per paying player (ARPPU) in Q1 2016 was $32.60.
