Seattle VR start-up Polyarc raises $3.5 million in seed funding

Seattle-based VR start-up Polyarc has completed a $3.5 million seed funding round.

The round was led by Chinese investment firm UCCVR, with additional investment from COLOPL's VR fund, and Vulcan Capital.

Polyarc was initially set up in 2015 by ex-Bungie staff to create "virtual reality gaming content", but it has yet to announce what its first game is beyond its title, Moss.

Writing on his LinkedIn, co-founder Chris Alderson wrote that "our immediate goal is to make full use of the immersion and physical interaction made possible only with VR to create thoughtfully designed, appealing, and accessible games with high player value."
