Warner Bros enters the social casino market with Extra Slots Stars

Still a tie-in production, but more casual than usual

Warner Bros enters the social casino market with Extra Slots Stars

Warner Brothers has released its first ever social casino game in partnership with developer Open Wager Studios.

Extra Slots Stars is a mobile adaptation of a popular TV show. Host Mario Lopez provides his likeness and voice in the game.

It sees users playing slot machine games, talking to other players, entering tournaments and using their winnings to dress their in-game avatar.

Triple 7's

Warner Bros has released a number of mobile games before, but its titles are usually adaptations of its film franchises and console titles.

It has seen success with these non-casual titles too, like its most recent release, Suicide Squad: Special Ops, which managed 10 million downloads in just over a month.

Suicide Squad: Special Ops was entirely free however, so it's likely Warner Bros is hoping to make up some extra revenue by jumping into the social casino market.
