Lineage 2 Revolution has tumbled to the bottom of the top ten worldwide mobile grossing ranks while Clash Royale has retaken the top spot.
This is according to SuperData's monthly Worldwide Digital Games Market report covering March 2017. Lineage 2 had topped the chart in its February 2017 edition despite only being launched in South Korea.
Supercell's CCG/MOBA has instead taken the top spot, followed by Monster Strike and Mobile Strike in second and third place. Game of War and Clash of Clans took fourth and fifth respectively.
Rest of the best
Completing the top ten was Fate/Grand Order, Honour of Kings, Pokemon GO, Fantasy Westward Journey, and the aforementioned Lineage 2 Revolution.
SuperData also noted that Hearthstone had seen its mobile revenues double from February thanks to pre-sales of an upcoming expansion. Its revenues had previously fallen due to unfavourable reactions to an update for the game.
Just because Lineage 2 Revolution has lost its position worldwide doesn't mean it isn't still performing well for Netmarble. It remains the top grossing game on iOS and Android in South Korea and is set to launch in Japan and China by the end of the year.
