Influencer special: Have your say on influencer marketing for mobile

Influencers aren’t labelled that for nothing – their reach and fan engagement is changing the way games are marketed.

You only need to watch the recent E3 keynotes to see how popular influencers have become, with EA rolling out Twitch and YouTube stars to announce and play its games live on stage.

And mobile is no stranger to the scene either, with the likes of Supercell, Space Ape and Seriously all tapping the power of popular influencers to promote their games.

To get a snapshot of just how useful influencers are in marketing a game, the grey areas of this kind of promotion and the new businesses propping up around the space, throughout July we’ll be running a series of articles on the topic.

But we’d like your help too!

Submit your ideas

Got something to say about influencers? Got lessons from your own experiences in working with these social media stars? Are you starting a new business in the space?

Send your article suggestions to PocketGamer.biz Editor Craig Chapple at craig.chapple@steelmedia.co.uk.

If you’re after inspiration, topics could include:

  • Case study: How you worked with influencers on any channel to market your game
  • The dos and don’ts of influencer marketing
  • The best channels for influencer marketing
  • Taking influencer marketing in-house
  • And any other ideas you can think of!

We’re also putting together a course on influencer marketing for our Mobile Games University to offer tips on game design and running competitions.

So if you’ve previously written something on the topic that’s still relevant today, let us know and we'll link to it!
