Supercell has released a huge new update for Clash Royale that introduces new game modes and features.
The Epic Quests update features an all new game mode called Touchdown. The 2v2 mode does away with the game’s towers and two lane strategy, instead tasking players with getting any of their troops into the opponent’s endzone to win.
In the end zone
Supercell has added the option of Mirror Battles for the normal gameplay mode, which gives players the exact same decks.
Other new features include daily and weekly quests to earn rewards, the ability to share and copy decks from outside the game, and a revamped in-game shop.
Clash Royale continues to be a top grossing game for Supercell since its release in early 2016, and remains a consistent top 10 revenue generator for IAPs on the US App Store, according to App Annie.
Earlier this year, Supercell added a major 'Builder Base' update to another of its games, Clash of Clans. The update featured new units, buildings, gameplay modes and an entire new world for players to build and battle on.
