Games publisher Deep Silver has launched Dead Island: Survivors globally following two-years in soft launch.
The zombie-themed action game initially soft launched on iOS in November 2016 before a beta followed on Android.
Crafted by Galaxy of Fire developer Fishlabs, Dead Island: Survivors combines melee combat with tactical base building, with some card collecting thrown in for good measure.
An array of different heroes and zombies inhabit the land, with various levels and missions providing a structure of what to do.
I’m a survivor, I ain’t gon’ give up.
The game also includes an AR function that allows players to meet heroes and zombies alike in the real world. However, as it is powered through ARKit, the feature is only available on the iOS version.
Dead Island: Survivors is free-to-play but features a host of in-app purchases, the main one being Gems which servers as in-game currency. Gems can be used to buy loot boxes or more of the primary in-currency, which is called Cash.
