Namco Networks has announced a new promotion with US operator Alltel Wireless, involving a competition open to any Alltel user who subscribes to a Namco mobile game.
The prize? A limited-edition Pac-Man arcade machine. The competition runs until the end of July.
Games involved in the promotion include Pac-Man, Galaga, Dig Dug, Scene It?, Snoopy the Flying Ace, Dilbert Cubicle Chaos and Atlantis Sky Patrol.
Namco's Scott Rubin says that these kinds of sweepstakes are a good way of increasing the awareness of mobile games among consumers.
It's not the first time the company has tried this strategy. In May 2006, Namco teamed up with Sprint to give away a customised Pac-Man Volkswagen Beetle car.
