Connect2Media has made its first acquisition, buying Israeli mobile content distributor RayFusion for an undisclosed amount.
It says the deal will allow RayFusion to expand its distribution network to include operators in EMEA, Latin America and Asia.
The company has a portfolio of Java games and other content, with EA Mobile being its most high-profile partner. It will retain its name and operate as a standalone entity following the deal.
According to the announcement, the deal will also allow RayFusion to "refine the development of its mobile content technology set" and "raise the bar on service levels and transparency". Always good to see those particular bars raised.
Rumours broke of the deal earlier this week, but it seems it won't be the last for Connect2Media.
When PocketGamer.biz talked to MD Eric Hobson last month, he said the company was "at various stages in talks" with a number of other possible acquisition targets.
