Connect2Media is the latest mobile games publisher to announce plans to bring games out for Google's Android platform.
The UK-based publisher is developing 12 games for the Android Market store, but won't release them until the first quarter next year, when Google starts allowing publishers to charge for their games and apps.
Connect2Media's initial releases include Classic Card Games EX, a compilation of three casual card games. However, the publisher is also promising to bring a "brand-new and groundbreaking" multi-platform franchise to Android, about which more details will be announced soon.
"The launch of these games for Android reinforces our intention to be a developer and publisher of high quality casual games for multiple platforms and it also shows our commitment to new and exciting ways of gaming," says CEO Eric Hobson.
The publisher, which until recently formed the European division of Hands-On Mobile, isn't stopping there with its expansionist plans. Connect2Media says it will also be releasing games for iPhone, Xbox 360 and Wii next year.
Other mobile publishers to have announced their Android plans include EA Mobile, Gameloft, Glu Mobile and Namco Networks.
