Organisers behind the first Dare Indie Fest in Dundee have lifted the lid on the speakers set to make their mark on the stage, with both the BBC and BAFTA in attendance.
The three day splash, which will be held alongside video game education event Dare ProtoPlay, will see BBC Worldwide discussing the opportunities the commercial arm of the broadcaster can provide for developers on day two.
BAFTA members will also take part in a question time panel event on the same day.
Indie eye
Marketing consultant Brian Baglow who made such an impression on PocketGamer.biz at Develop 2012 at the start of July is down to detail marketing on a shoestring.
Andrew John Smith of Spilt Milk Studios, meanwhile, will sign off day one looking at how indies can make best use of their time.
According to organisers, Dare Indie Fest which is presented by the Abertay University Prototype Fund is "designed for helping indies to become more successful in their pursuit for a career in making games."
The Dare way
"There are two elements in the Dare Indie Fest," details the Dare website.
"A showcase of your game and a conference with an amazing line-up of speakers."
Indeed, a total of 16 indie games alongside 15 Dare student games will also be showcased during Dare ProtoPlay, with more than 9,000 attendees having made the trip in 2011.
More details on Dare Indie Fest, which will take place in Caird Hall in Dundee, can be found on the Dare to be Digital website.
