Mobile rewards ad network Kiip integrates with GameSalad Creator

Expands model to 200,000-strong community

Mobile rewards ad network Kiip integrates with GameSalad Creator
Launched in April, US achievement-based ad network Kiip has been building out its clients - both in terms of developers and advertisers - throughout 2011.

Now, however, it's marked a major expansion point, announcing it's integrated into prosumer iOS game development tool GameSalad Creator.

It's the first advertising solution to be seamlessly included within the technology.

Check and go

In this manner, developers using the drag-and-drop GameSalad platform will be able to hit a check box and automatically include Kiip's service, which enables advertisers including the likes of Best Buy and Popchips to sponsor in-game achievements with real-world rewards.

The option is now live in the new version of GameSalad Creator, being trialled by certain studios, with full access to GameSalad's community slated for early December. More than 20,000 games have been created using GameSalad, which claims over 200,000 users.

Turn the wheel

"For the first time, we will be an integral part of the mobile game development cycle from inception, with developers using the popular GameSalad platform," commented Kiip's CEO Brian Wong.

"This partnership makes it possible to monetise games and offer branded rewards to a much larger community of developers in a way that is both simple and rewarding."

GameSalad CEO Steve Felter added, "Through our partnership with Kiip, GameSalad's professional developers have the opportunity to seamlessly integrate an innovative form of monetisation into their games and build loyalty among players by offering real world rewards for their in-game achievements."
