Former Rovio's vice president of mergers and acquisitions Teemu Huuhtanen has left the Finnish studio to set up his own mobile outfit, Next Games.
That's according to the Wall Street Journal, which reports Huuhtanen actually left the Angry Birds studio back in August, though little is known about the activities and ambitions of his new home.
'Back into the fray'
Huuhtanen joined Rovio back in June 2012, having previously worked at fellow Finnish outfit Sulake, famous for its Habbo Hotel community.
"I hold Rovio at extremely high regard, and I expect its prodigious growth to continue," said Huuhtanen.
"There is right now a highly conducive atmosphere for start-ups in Finland, so when the right team came together, I couldn't resist the opportunity of going back into the fray."
The Wall Street Journal notes that Huuhtanen is the tenth executive to leave Rovio during the last couple of years, though the firm has also made notable hires during that time, most recently in the form of former Nokia executive Teemu Suila, who joined Rovio to serve as the company's COO back in June 2013.
