There's a lot of competition between iPhone developers at the moment over which social network platform will win out when it comes to adding online scoreboards, connectivity, social features and even multiplayer functions.
One of the first systems to address this aspect of iPhone gaming was Aurora Feint's OpenFeint, which has proven itself to be a popular and reliable framework.
So it's quite a coup that one of the App Store's larger publishers Digital Chocolate has announced it will be adopting the social platform for select titles in its cataloge including Rollercoaster Rush.
Last week, it was announced over 200 games were using OpenFeint, with another 500 in development.
Now with a big name, and serious iPhone player like Digital Chocolate on its books, a lot more developers are likely to turn their attention toward this social system.
Competition remains fierce however with publisher Freeverse adopting ngmoco's Plus+ system.
