Blood of the Zombies to hit iOS and Android

Tin Man Games scores Fighting Fantasy license for 30th anniversary
Australian studio Tin Man Games has secured the license to develop apps based on the forthcoming Fighting Fantasy 30th anniversary gamebook, Blood of the Zombies.

The new title is being written by Ian Livingstone to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Warlock of Firetop Mountain - the 1982 Fighting Fantasy debut he co-authored with Steve Jackson.

Linking in, Tin Man Games' Android and iOS apps will be released alongside the gamebook in August.

"I'm really pleased to be working with Tin Man Games on the digital version as they are acknowledged experts with a proven track record," said Ian Livingstone, life president of Eidos and co-creator of the Fighting Fantasy series.

"But I'm not sure how the readers will cope when they find out they can't cheat!"

Tin Man Games, which has enjoyed success with its Gamebook Adventure series, will subsequently bring a number of other Fighting Fantasy titles to iOS and Android, including Steve Jackson's House of Hell.

"I don't think it's any secret that Gamebook Adventures was inspired by Fighting Fantasy," confessed Tin Man Games' creative director Neil Rennison.

"Therefore it is an absolute honour to have the responsibility of creating the 30th anniversary gamebook apps. Somewhere back in the mid 80's a 10 year old Neil is staring at the future me with his jaw on the floor!"
