Pocket Gems searching for talented software engineer

Five years young, Pocket Gems is looking for a software engineer to build games, tools, and features.

Applicants must have a BA, BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline, as well as a foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, software design and OOP.

Experience working in the mobile industry, however, is not a necessity, although those proficient in C/C++, Objective-C, Java, Python, and JavaScript are more likely to land the job.

Break new ground

Pocket Gems explained that it's only interested in hiring the best of the best.

"Pocket Gems is continuously breaking new ground by building graphically rich mobile games; developing fun, new genres of mobile entertainment; and creating innovative technologies," read a company statement.

"Profitable since launch in 2009, the company has grown to over 180 employees with offices in San Francisco and New York. Pocket Gems’ games have been downloaded over 175 million times by players around the world.

"Pocket Gems is looking for the best developers in the world to join us in revolutionising the mobile gaming paradigm. No pressure or anything."
