Rick and Morty co-creator joins with ex-Epic Games EP to form new VR studio Squanchtendo

The co-creator of adult cartoon series Rick and Morty Justin Roiland has teamed up with ex-Epic Games Executive Producer Tanya Watson to form virtual reality studio Squanchtendo.

The studio will be making games across all VR platforms. Its games will feature a strong focus on story and characters, all with Roiland's unique brand of humour.

Squanching together

Watson has previously worked as Executive Producer on console titles such as Bulletstorm and Fortnite, and was previously Test Lead on Gears of War.

Roiland has no formal experience in the games industry. He is best known for his work on Rick and Morty, a cartoon which he co-created and provides voices for.

Squanchtendo is currently looking to hire designers, programmers, artists and staff in other disciplines.
